I am walking in memory of Ezrah, a beautiful little boy who was tragically taken in March this year by Group B Strep at just 19 days old. Like so many, I didn’t have the chance to meet Ezrah but I felt his presence in the joy that filled his loved ones hearts and the sparkle in their eyes from the moment he arrived.  Nobody should have to walk the path they’ve been forced down. A parent is never ready to say goodbye to their child, but especially someone so young. 

Currently the NHS do not routinely test for GBS in pregnant women, a simple test which would undoubtedly save lives. This life threatening infection wasn’t mentioned once during my pregnancy, we were blissfully unaware how common and devastating this can be. So, I have decided to walk 60 miles this month with my baby girl, Ava. I’ll take every step holding her tightly whilst thinking of Ezrah and his precious family. Our nightmare is their reality and it breaks my heart.  Please donate as much or as little as you are able to support this vital charity.
